Extensive experience mentoring students in academic advising and personal development

During my time at Brown, I developed advising programs to support the academic success and well-being of first- and second-year students. My work has always focused on helping students identify the right college fit, ensuring that they thrive both academically and personally.

Approach to Counseling

I believe that each student’s journey is unique, and my goal is to empower students to discover their passions and pursue them with confidence. Counseling is not just about admissions—it’s about helping students grow personally, build self-awareness, and set meaningful goals. I take pride in building strong bonds with students and their families, ensuring they feel supported throughout the process. Together, we work to uncover strengths, celebrate progress, and make decisions that feel right for the student.

Areas of Expertise

  • College selection and application strategy.
  • Supporting international and expat students.
  • Crafting compelling essays and personal statements.
  • Guiding parents through the admissions process with empathy and transparency.

Personal Touch

As the mother of five and stepmother of two, I understand firsthand the importance of finding the right educational fit for every child. Some of my children followed non-traditional paths to top universities, and I have learned that success looks different for each individual. My family now stretches across the globe, from Hawaii to the South of France, and they are all pursuing careers they love in fields such as technology, design, and teaching.

When I’m not working with students and families, I enjoy staying connected with my far-flung family, baking, and taking long walks. I feel privileged to mentor students and help them build meaningful futures, knowing they are prepared to thrive in the next chapter of their lives.
